In 1996, “JKC Truck Brake Systems” was established in Japan as a joint venture between Knorr-Bremse, Allied Signal and JKC. By 2001, the company was renamed Knorr-Bremse Commercial Vehicle Systems Japan Ltd., forming an organizational structure that now includes sales, global procurement, applied engineering, and training functions. In 2006 Knorr-Bremse CVS Japan built a new plant in Sakado city.
The main focus of Knorr-Bremse CVS Japan is to produce conventional products, bring European components for expansion into the Japanese market and provide full technical support to satisfy all customer requirements. We are devoted to continuously improving our technology to supply top-notch products and solutions to our customers in order to sustain our position as a leading global partner of active vehicle safety systems for Japanese OEMs.

We, Knorr-Bremse Steering Systems Japan Ltd., are a leading manufacturer in Japan that develops, designs, manufactures and sells steering system products for commercial vehicles. The company is based in Namegawa-machi, Saitama Prefecture, and has cultivated technology and quality for over 50 years since its founding, and places the highest priority on customer trust.
The company became a member of the Knorr-Bremse Group in March 2019 and, by utilizing their world-leading technology and know-how for commercial vehicles, enable to contribute to the technical development of advanced driving support and autonomous driving promoted by Knorr-Bremse, such as for integrated control technology with brake systems and steering systems.
